Planning permissions confirmed for an 84 bed student housing development on former industrial lands.
MCI Planning and Development has been working with Stelling Properties and Unilife to create an exciting 84 room student residence on Walnut Tree Close in Guildford. The new building replaces an obsolete industrial unit and brings a high quality student accommodation development to an area that has been undergoing dramatic change in recent years.
MCI assisted with the planning process for the scheme and produced two separate commercial property market documents submitted in support of the planning application. Firstly, we produced an employment land study for Guildford to help justify the loss of industrial lands. We were also commissioned to produce an overview of the Student Housing Market in Guildford to support the justification for additional student accommodation.
